Job Description: Part-time permanent accounting and human resources for a well-established semiconductor engineering services firm. You will perform all aspects of accounting from data entry to reporting, including preparing monthly financial statements and providing year-end reports to tax firm. You will also perform human resources tasks as described below. This 15 to 25 hours per week position allows remote work and flexible hours.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accounts Payable / Vendors | Payroll / HR / Regulatory compliance |
Pay bills, including international wires through bank website | Coordinate with our Payroll processor to run 4-5 payrolls per month |
Generate vendor PO’s, submit for review and approval, and send to vendor | Receive time sheets from hourly employees and obtain approvals from project managers |
Generate monthly a/p and a/r accruals | Calculate and track commission bonuses |
Be available to work with resource partners in India. Requires a late-night Zoom call once a month. | Manage Business licensing and payroll accounts for out-of-state employees. Make annual renewals and file & pay any required reports not handled by payroll. |
Accounts Receivables / Sales | Onboard and offboard employees using checklist |
Monthly project budget sufficiency analysis | Calculate partner guaranteed payments, report to and pay partners |
Generate monthly invoices by the 10th of the month and submit to customer’s vendor AP portal | Import payroll and invoicing data from Excel using SaaSant, a 3rd party app |
Track invoice approvals and payments. Follow up on delinquent accounts and un-approved invoices | Perform background checks and set up drug tests as part of on-boarding, as needed |
Reporting and Analysis | Process expense reports |
Reconcile bank statements and investment accounts monthly | Submit information for annual insurance audit requests including workers comp and Form 5500 for 401k plan |
Update cash status report daily. Update cash forecast report weekly. Receive three-month revenue forecast from Sales dept monthly. Update three-month cash forecast report monthly. | Coordinate with the company 401k administrator including submitting timely contributions (4 – 5 per month), processing and tracking 401k loans, and assisting with year-end profit-sharing computations and data entry. Distribute mandatory reports to participants. |
Prepare timely monthly financials statement and provide year-end financial statements to tax CPA’s | Coordinate with insurance brokers regarding workers comp, business owners, medical and other benefits, and other insurance as needed |
Prepare other analytical reports as needed | Update Employee Handbook, as needed |
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Experience & Skill Requirements:
QuickBooks Online 4+ years of experience | MS Office, and advanced Excel skills |
Bookkeeping & GAAP accounting | Organizational and time management skills |
Excellent verbal & written communication skills | Risk management |
Residency Requirements: Candidate must be able to demonstrate they are authorized to work in the US.
Personal Attributes: A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision, highly attentive to detail, and good interpersonal communication skills are essential to success in this job. Must be willing and able to research unfamiliar topics such as state requirements for an out-of-state new hire, proper accounting treatment of a transaction, or partnership reporting. Must be of unquestionable integrity, possess a drive to succeed and accomplish team challenges in a dynamic, fast-moving technology business environment. The successful applicant will have demonstrated the ability to work independently and possess a strong analytical aptitude.
